As of October, 2019  1300 Massachusetts cities and towns have passed a plastic bag reduction by-law to help mitigate climate change and pollution. On May 13 (or possibly 15) 2019, Canton, MA voters will have the opportunity to do the same at Annual Town Meeting by voting on Article 27: Acceptance of proposed new bylaw regarding plastic shopping bag reduction.
